Well, at about 4 p.m. this afternoon the power seems to have gone out across the North East and into the mid-west and Canada. For about a 1/2 an hour there was no explanation. Now it is reported a shared power grid went down. The camera views are pretty amazing from CNN and such in New York, the amount of people in the streets is incredible. BUT I have to say I think this whole thing is a little blown out up. Especially here, at my job in Tampa, more than 1,000 miles away from here. And now there are crazed editors running around. Call this place, call that! Are they on hieghtened alert? Blah, blah blah. You know what, most of the people so far are saying "What power outage?"
I guess if they would understand that most people don't have 20 TV's set to news stations scattered around the room that most people prob. won't even know. But you can guarentee there'll be plenty of stories in tomorrows Tampa Tribune about this thing and how it didn't effect our community. :-)
